We used Padilla to remove some weeds a few weeks ago. They did a fair job (some weeds were left by the crew that they just poured weedkiller on and others on side of house) -- but then they dramatically overcharged us for the work ~$1,000! ...to pull weeds across a few beds at a residential home where we had pulled weeds a few weeks prior. See the quote of $234! When we called, they said that 3 pullers spent 4 hours pulling a few beds. That's 12 man-hours of pulling weeds across a few beds?!?!
Even the pictures they sent the owner admitted that the effort "many not be apparent from the photos alone." Huh?? They said that we 'threatened' a bad review. We never used that word, and 99% of the reviews I leave are 5-star positive. Honestly, like other neighbors, I rely on good/recent reviews to know whether to trust a service.
In 12 years of getting help from many different reputable landscaping companies, we have never spent more than $400-$500 on these beds. Had we known they would charge us this much, we would have stopped the workers after an hour or so. The company indicates they pride themselves on satisfying customers. But, in the end, I would be REALLY careful about hiring them unless you read ALL the fine print and do the math. What looks to be a bottom line charge might end up being 3-4 times more expensive.
